This directory contains a dump of the UCSC genome annotation database for the Nov. 2002 human genome freeze assembled by NCBI. These files are updated nightly. The .txt.gz files contain the database tables in a tab-delimited format compressed with gzip. The .sql files contain the MySQL commands used to create the tables. To see descriptions of the tables underlying Genome Browser annotation tracks, select the table in the Table Browser: http://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgTables?db=hg13 and click the "describe table schema" button. There is also a "view table schema" link on the configuration page for each track. If you plan to download a large file or multiple files from this directory, we recommend that you use ftp rather than downloading the files via our website. To do so, ftp to hgdownload.cse.ucsc.edu, then go to the directory goldenPath/14nov2002/database. To download multiple files, use the "mget" command: mget ... - or - mget -a (to download all the files in the directory) All of the tables in this directory are freely usable for any purpose except for the following: affyGeno.txt - See the Affymetrix, Inc. web site at (http://www.affymetrix.com/site/terms.affx) for the terms and conditions of the use of data in the this table. genieAlt.txt and genieAltPep.txt - Free for academic and nonprofit use.
