This directory contains the Aug. 2003 Drosophila pseudoobscura 
Freeze 1 assembly (UCSC version dp1) from the Baylor College 
of Medicine HGSC Drosophila Genome Project. The annotations are 
from UCSC and collaborators worldwide.

Files are updated nightly. The .txt.gz files contain the 
database tables in a tab-delimited format compressed with gzip.  
The .sql files contain the MySQL commands used to create the tables.

If you plan to download a large file or multiple files from 
this directory, we recommend that you use ftp rather than 
downloading the files via our website. To do so, ftp to 
hgdownload.cse.ucsc.edu, then go to the directory 
goldenPath/dp1/database. To download multiple files, 
use the "mget" command:

    mget <filename1> <filename2> ...
    - or -
    mget -a (to download all the files in the directory) 

All the tables in this directory are freely usable for any 
purpose.
